See a Doctor For a Specialist Referral For $35

Consult an Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) accredited telehealth doctor about your specialist referral needs.

What is a specialist referral?

A GP may refer you to a specialist if they feel their specific expertise is necessary to treat your symptoms or condition. Once after initial contact, A GP will discuss your symptoms and any health concerns you may have and may order diagnostic tests if needed.

Based on your symptoms and the results of any tests, your GP will evaluate your condition. If the issue requires specialised care, a specialist referral will be issued.

Why would you require a specialist referral?

Specialists are typically consulted for conditions that require in-depth knowledge and expertise. This could include complex medical conditions, chronic diseases, or situations where specialised tests or procedures are needed.

This is a common practice that is recommended when a patient needs specialists focused on a particular area such as cardiologists, dermatologists, neurologists, nephrologists, endocrinologists, Orthopedics doctor, gynecologists, gastroenterologists and more to treat their specific condition.

How will a GP provide a specialist referral?

Depending on your symptoms, your GP will determine the type of specialist you need to see. Your GP will then provide you with a referral to the specialist, which will be sent via email.

How much will a specialist charge?

Specialist fees will vary by specialist. Please contact your specialist to understand their fee schedule and any Medicare rebates their services may be eligible for.
