In today’s digital age, healthcare is no longer limited to a clinic. For Australians who enjoy travelling, telehealth consultations are a convenient service, offering online access to medical guidance and assistance no matter where they are in Australia. The online doctors can help you heal and work on your health condition, provide medical guidelines, scripts or referrals if needed and an sick medical certificate if time off is needed. Capterra surveyed more than 1,000 Aussies who have had a doctor’s appointment within the last 12 months. They wanted to understand the benefits and challenges patients may have faced if they did experience remote healthcare and whether they would want to use it again in a post-pandemic world. They conducted an online survey in April 2021. Of the total respondents, we were able to identify 1,008 Australians who adhered to the following criteria:
- Resident of Australia
- Over 18 years of age
- Had a healthcare appointment within the last 12 months
- Visits the doctor at least once a year.
