Special consideration is a formal process in Australian education and training institutions that allows students to request assessment adjustments when unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances affect their academic performance.
Special consideration is widely used in universities, TAFEs, and registered training organizations (RTOs). It applies to exams, assessments, and compulsory course requirements when academic performance is temporarily impacted.
