Dr. Nelson Lau

Dr Nelson Lau is a highly experienced Australian GP and digital health innovator with over 30 years of clinical practice. He is a graduate of the University of Western Australia and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

At Hola Health, Dr Lau provides online consultations with a focus on general practice, digital health, and telemedicine. His expertise lies in the integration of technology with primary care to improve access and outcomes for patients across Australia. 

Dr Lau has served in senior roles across the health sector, including as a Senior Medical Advisor at Medibank Health Solutions, and as a key contributor to the CRISPER Project during the pandemic. He is also a medical advisor for Element 8 Group, a venture capital fund focused on early-stage medtech and biotech innovation.

Dr Lau’s entrepreneurial pursuits include developing health applications, advising Medtech startups on applications of augmented and virtual reality in healthcare, and publishing thought leadership on AI and emerging technologies in medicine.
