How to get the blood test referral with Hola Health?
- Request a Referral: Visit the Hola Health Blood Test Referral page or use the app. Select the “Pathology Referral” or “Blood Test” service.
- Complete the Intake Form: Provide your basic details and answer a few clinical questions about your symptoms or the reason for the test (e.g., routine check-up, iron levels, or specific health concerns).
- Video Consultation: You will be connected for a short video consultation with an AHPRA-registered GP (usually within 15 minutes). The doctor will review your health needs to ensure the test is clinically indicated.
- Receive Your Digital Referral: If approved, your referral form is sent instantly to your phone via SMS or email.
Where do I take my referral?
You can take your digital referral to almost any pathology centre in Australia, such as Laverty, 4Cyte, Sullivan Nicolaides, or Clinpath.
Tip: Call the lab first to see if you need an appointment or extra ID.
Once your pathology test has been conducted and your results have been analysed, the pathology laboratory will send us your results.
After your pathology test
Once your test is finished, here is what happens next:
- We notify you: Hola Health will send you an SMS as soon as your results are received.
- Book a follow-up: The text will include a link to book a doctor’s visit at a discounted rate to discuss your results.
- Share with your GP: If you want your results sent to your regular family doctor, just email us at support@hola.health with your regular doctor’s name and contact details.
