“Australia is facing an unprecedented shortage of doctors, especially of general practitioners, as evidenced over the last 10 years. The current change in the area of needs classification, makes it very difficult for foreign doctors to come and work in the cities. As a result, notwithstanding COVID-19, we have not seen any UK doctors/general practitioners coming into Australia in the last three years. That is why I strongly believe that telehealth is going to bridge the gap in the coming years.” says Dr Vishnu Gopalan, the chief medical officer of Hola Health
