Western Australians now have access to Hola Health, a new telehealth service based in Perth. With this service, patients can connect with a doctor within 15 minutes, 24/7. They no longer need to wait for in-person consultations, specialist referrals, prescriptions, or medical certificates. Hola Health ensures access to Australian qualified health practitioners through video consultations on mobile devices or computers.

Jim Codde who used the service from Bridgerton gave his view about the service, “At the moment it can take several days to get into a GP, and considering the symptoms I had, I wanted to avoid going into their offices where I could make other people sick. I think the service is brilliant and felt very comfortable with the experience I had.”
Dr. Richard Marston, a consulting GP at Hola Health, mentioned that the pandemic has caused individuals to reconsider their approach to healthcare. He said, “There are many conditions and situations that can be assessed and assisted very easily through telehealth services while maintaining the highest levels of patient care. For example, a patient may have realised they have run out of their medication, which they need urgently; many common ailments can be treated quickly by talking through symptoms, such as urinary tract infections; and referrals for radiology other specialists can be discussed via telehealth.”
