Does Medicare cover online doctor visits?

Some telehealth consults are fully bulk billed* under Medicare. These include – 

• After-hours bulk-billed GP consults (general medical advice): Available on 11pm to 6:45am, 7 days a week

• Online scripts: Available on 11pm to 6:45am, 7 days a week

• Mental Health Care Plan online: Available every day. 

Considerations:

• A valid Medicare card is required. Bulk-billing* availability depends on consultation type and time. 

• Outside of these mentioned hours, private billing may apply.
