Yes, if clinically appropriate. Viral and bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye) are highly infectious. Hola Health doctor or medical practitioner online can issue a sick leave certificate for infection symptoms, if clinically appropriate. This allows you to stay home and minimise the risk of infecting others.  

Getting a medical certificate for an eye or ear condition affecting my work or study 

Eye infections can affect your vision, making activities such as driving or prolonged screen use unsafe. Ear infections may cause pain, dizziness, or balance issues that make it difficult to carry out everyday activities. If your symptoms affect your ability to work or study, our doctors or nurse practitioners can assess your condition and issue an online medical certificate following a clinical evaluation.  

How do online assessments for eye and ear infections work? 

To help determine the cause of your symptoms, your doctor may ask about:
