No, Hola Health does not provide a backdated medical certificate online for schools or universities. A doctor cannot change the date the certificate was written. What they can do is certify that you were unwell during the date of consultation or assessment.
Australian universities are stricter than most students realise. A few essentials:
Universities do not treat medical certificates the same way, and that matters more than many students realise. At the University of Sydney, a medical certificate generally needs to come from an Australian practitioner registered with AHPRA. Sydney also makes it clear that backdated certificates are not automatically accepted.
UNSW took a stricter approach in February 2026, but the change is often described too broadly. It said they may still be accepted if they are issued by an AHPRA-registered provider.
Tip: Always check your faculty’s specific policy. Student Services at each university can clarify what is required before you submit anything.
