When your child is unwell, you can request a telehealth medical certificate online from an AHPRA-registered medical practitioner at Hola Health.

An online medical certificate is valid as one issued in person when it is issued by an AHPRA-registered practitioner. Telehealth can also be convenient for busy parents, with consultations available 24/7.

If you need time off work to care for your unwell child, you can also request a carer’s certificate through telehealth. You may not need to visit a clinic in person.

How to request a medical certificate online for your child or as a carer with Hola Health

• Request a certificate. Go to Hola Health medical certificate page and choose the certificate you need. Options include a standard medical certificate, a school or university certificate, a multi-day certificate, or a carer’s certificate. You’ll answer a few questions about the unwell person, their symptoms and how long they’ve been unwell.
• Have your request reviewed. An AHPRA-registered practitioner will review your request. Hola Health offers online consultations 24/7. Depending on the information provided, the practitioner may need to speak with you by video or ask additional questions before deciding whether a certificate is appropriate.
• Receive your certificate. If the practitioner determines that a certificate is clinically appropriate, it can be issued digitally by SMS and email.
