Does Medicare cover online doctor visits?

Some telehealth consults are fully bulk billed under Medicare. These include – 

• After-hours bulk-billed GP consults (general medical advice): Available on Weekdays 6pm–7:30am, Saturday 12am–7:30am & from 12pm, Sunday & Public Holidays 24hrs 

• Online scripts: Available on Weekdays 6pm–7:30am, Saturday 12am–7:30am & from 12pm, Sunday & Public Holidays 24hrs 

• Mental Health Care Plan online: Available every day. 

Considerations:

• A valid Medicare card is required. Bulk-billing availability depends on consultation type and time. 

• Outside of these mentioned hours, private billing may apply.
