You can consult an AHPRA-registered doctor or medical practitioner in Australia, typically within 15 minutes (Based on typical wait times; may vary by demand and practitioner availability), by booking a telehealth appointment. This service operates round-the-clock, offering access to telehealth GPs after-hours, at weekends, and even on public holidays. Bulk billing* options are available during set times for Medicare cardholders.

How to consult a GP online via telehealth?

  1. Start your booking: Select the “Telehealth Appointment” service and choose your specific consultation type. Bulk Billing* is available for eligible Medicare cardholders during designated hours.
  2. Enter clinical details: Fill in your personal information and answer a few brief clinical questions. (Note: You will not be asked for payment details if your request is submitted during an active bulk-billing period).
  3. Connect with a Doctor: Join a secure video consultation with an AHPRA-registered practitioner, typically within 15 minutes (Based on typical wait times; may vary by demand and practitioner availability).
  4. Receive personalised care: Discuss your health concerns with the medical practitioner. If the doctor determines it is clinically necessary for your care, your prescriptions, medical certificates, radiology referral, blood test referral, or specialist referrals will be sent directly to your email following the call.
