Based on the information you provide, the telehealth doctor consultation will offer medical advice, recommend treatment, issue prescriptions if necessary, or refer you for further care.
When will I receive an outcome from my telehealth consultation with the dr?
After your telehealth appointment, you will receive medical advice tailored to your underlying medical condition. Our online doctors or nurse practitioners will prescribe medication if necessary or issue a medical certificate if deemed appropriate. Depending on your condition, the consultation may also lead to a referral to a specialist or recommend pathology and radiology tests for further investigation.
What can't be prescribed via telehealth appointments?
The provision of any prescriptions is at the discretion of the telehealth doctor who determines the best course of action. Medical practitioners are unable to prescribe Schedule 8 medicines and Schedule 4D medicines via a telehealth consultation. Schedule 8 and Schedule 4D medicines include but not exclusively;
Schedule 8: Alprazolam, Buprenorphine, Dexamphetamine, Fentanyl, Hydromorphone, Lis-dexamphetamine, Methadone, Methylphenidate, Morphine, Oxycodone, Tapentadol and Pethidine.
Schedule 4D: Benzodiazepines (Clonazepam, Diazepam, Oxazepam, Temazepam), Phentermine, Pregabalin, Testosterone, Modafinil, Zolpidem and Zopiclone.
Is telehealth covered by Medicare?
Telehealth in Australia for general consultation is not covered by Medicare. Online telehealth appointments for mental health are fully bulk billed and are 100% covered by Medicare.
Is telehealth bulk billed in Australia?
Telehealth services are not bulk billed at Hola Health. For bulk-billing teleheath service, access Mental health treatment plans that are 100% Medicare bulk billed.
